Large Checked Cotton Canvas (Duck) Fabric

Duck fabrics, which add natural aesthetics with their cotton weave and linen-like look, also offer many uses thanks to their wide width. The fabric surface prevents oils and liquids from soaking in and removes dirt such as dust and soil very easily. Their two important functions are being stain-resistant and waterproof.

The fabric is 65% cotton & 35% polyester.
It is hard for water and rain to penetrate the fabric.

Areas of Use

It can be used for backdrop curtains, cushions, tablecloths, runners, floor cushions, sofa covers, play mats, kitchen sets, bags, beach bags, placemats and various upholstery applications.

Calculation Tips

Mind the fabric width: The table values are for 140-150 cm width. With 220 cm width fabric you can buy about 20% less.
Patterned fabric: For large patterns (florals, stripes, etc.) buy 15-20% extra fabric for pattern matching.
Pleated and full pieces: Require 2-3 times the fabric of a straight cut.
Shrinkage allowance: A 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash is normal for cotton fabrics. Pre-washing is recommended.
Seam allowance: A 1-1.5 cm seam allowance is included in the tables.
Lining: Lined projects need as much lining fabric as the main fabric.
