With its cotton texture and linen look, duck fabrics add natural aesthetics and, thanks to their wide width, offer many areas of use. The fabric surface prevents oil and liquids from soaking in, and easily repels dirt such as dust and soil. Their two key functions are being stain-resistant and water-repellent.

Calculation Tips

Mind the fabric width: The table values are for 140-150 cm width. With 220 cm width fabric you can buy about 20% less.
Patterned fabric: For large patterns (florals, stripes, etc.) buy 15-20% extra fabric for pattern matching.
Pleated and full pieces: Require 2-3 times the fabric of a straight cut.
Shrinkage allowance: A 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash is normal for cotton fabrics. Pre-washing is recommended.
Seam allowance: A 1-1.5 cm seam allowance is included in the tables.
Lining: Lined projects need as much lining fabric as the main fabric.
