Duck fabrics, which add natural aesthetics with their cotton texture and linen appearance, also offer many areas of use thanks to their wide width. The fabric surface prevents oil and liquids from penetrating and removes dirt such as dust and soil very easily. Their two important functions are being stain-resistant and waterproof.

Calculation Tips

Mind the fabric width: The table values are for 140-150 cm width. With 220 cm width fabric you can buy about 20% less.
Patterned fabric: For large patterns (florals, stripes, etc.) buy 15-20% extra fabric for pattern matching.
Pleated and full pieces: Require 2-3 times the fabric of a straight cut.
Shrinkage allowance: A 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash is normal for cotton fabrics. Pre-washing is recommended.
Seam allowance: A 1-1.5 cm seam allowance is included in the tables.
Lining: Lined projects need as much lining fabric as the main fabric.
